The company was founded way back in 1981 by the inspiration of Umberto Germano in the city of Caltagirone , famous throughout the world for ceramics. Initially it was a family-run bakery , over time it expanded and new people were added to the team. The business supplied bread and rolls to half the town; shops, and even local prisons. Production multiplied and new products made space in the shop window, including arancini, calzones, traditional desserts and Sicilian biscuits.

In 1991 the business moved, and together with his wife and children he moved to larger premises, where the company began to specialize in the production of typical Sicilian products on a large scale. Their passion for the culinary tradition of the region, together with the choice of high quality ingredients and the artisanal care in processing , allows them to become a point of reference for traditional Sicilian food products, not only in the city of Caltagirone , but throughout the region.

The treasure hunt for the selection of raw materials is a sacred mission, only the best qualities pass our rigorous selections. Our recipes are the lifeblood of our business, carefully curated and handed down for three generations, with the constant aim of preserving the flavors and traditions of our land.

In 2021 , the company comes under the leadership of his nephew Francesco De Grande and son-in-law Giuseppe De Grande . The new management brings a wind of change , with the introduction of innovation and modernity, marked by a renewed image and a new production line. New products and perspectives for Sicilian cuisine are developed, maintaining the same artisanal approach and dedication to detail. Each creation is a unique experience , a perfect union between past and present, which offers an unparalleled taste .
